I- yes it can be controversial ...
1) ...as the price will increase and the state accept it for mostly its own benefit and not for the general interest.
2) ...as it is like selling a french valuable company to other countries, so french people might lose interest in it.
II- No it won't be for sure controversial...
1) ...as the money recolted by the privatisation of the company can be used for important activities such as the technological innovation.
2) ...as it will open doors to foreigners and french that live abroad, so that they can also access to it.
