1.       Not fun and social: Google did not push to see the users’ preferences. It offered them a place to store data, but the users wanted an engaging and fun place that put them under pressure and encouragement to be healthy (pressure + reminders).

2.       Not trustworthy with personal data especially healthy ones.

3.       Too cumbersome to use because the information given by the app were not always reliable. People did not have time to update their healthcare details and it was too unwieldy for people to maintain the app on their own.

4.       No doctors were involved.

5.       It was hard to partner with insurance companies to share data voluntarily.

6.       It was too hard to overcome the reimbursement barriers/

7.       It was poorly marketed.

8.       It had a poor C-level support: the health wasn’t a core competence of Google. It needed time, $ and partners.

9.       It had no advertising opportunity.

10.   It was not useful to consumers as it did not solve any pressing PB for consumers: better health management, help to make appointments, saving $ and time, and get automatic prescription refill.

->Even large successful companies such as Google Health can fail.

-> Google took risks but failed because they didn’t take opportunities (9.).

->It had governance issues. (8.)

->They did not provide useful services to consumers and did not care about their preferences. (1 and 10.)

->Google uses concentric diversification( but No diversification in healthcare).
