The immuno oncology course describes the role of the innate and adaptive immune system in the development of cancers and the therapeutic strategies to modulate the immune system functions through conventional drug therapies, biotherapies or antigen-specific and non-specific immunotherapy

The teaching is organized into 21 hours of lectures and conferences and 10 hours of personal work. The students will choose and present recent publications on the theme of "Combinations therapies to potentiate and avoid resistance to immunotherapy". They will be tutored for this by researchers/clinicians that participate in the unit.

The evaluation is based on an oral presentation of the supervised work and a final written exam.

Basic knowledge in fundamental immunology is required.
