Description

This course revolves around the core topics of digital architecture and computer architecture. The principles of digital design will be covered and explored through VHDL modeling (for simulation) and design (logic synthesis). A strong emphasis will be put on the fundamentals of VHDL (concurrency) and the best practices toward efficient logic synthesis. Half of the lecture is then devoted to computer architecture, topics listed below.
